Went downtown today on a few matters of business. First I want to mention the cat-and-mouse game played by the police and the immigrants who illegally sell on the street. Unfortunately you can't see in the photo, but as these cops walk down the street, the sellers take off running. The cops don't make any effort to run after them or anything. They appear to do it just to disrupt them. It worked exactly the same way in Italy. Salesmen lay out their wares on blankets so as to be able to collect them quickly and run. It's kind of comical.

This picture shows a few things. First you can see the immigrants selling on the sidewalk (no cops around). Second you can see the graffiti spray painted on the side of the building. The university was the central staging area for the student riots in December and there is still cleaning up to do.
Kim and I got invited by Professor Sorogas to attend the Greek Premiere of Frost/Nixon. The US Ambassador will be there. I guess it's a big deal.
